Exercise in the Clubhouse
There are all levels of exercise available at the Clubhouse. There is a 25-30 minute sessions each Tuesday at around 9:30 after chair yoga. You will do the 1 mile Leslie Sansone heart-health walk indoors in the clubhouse. The goal is to learn about the Sansone Walk at Home program and then gradually work up to the 3-5 mile sessions regularly done Mon-Wed-Fri. This will be geared for those interested in beginning a fitness program and who have not been active for awhile.
However, if you are adventurous, determined, and goal-oriented, please feel free to join the earlier 8:30 sessions and do what you can at your own pace. You will always find encouraging words, smiles, and pats on the back. After all, we were all beginners at one time. POC for the Tuesday 9:30 sessions is Dollie Lampa for 8:30 sessions is Jonalyn Chagaris.
The bowling alley time is 1:00 pm on Tuesdays at Dover Bowl-arama. Come join in the fun and camaraderie with neighbors and friends.
There is a group who are starting to play UNO at the clubhouse on Fridays when there is not Bingo. If it’s the Bingo Friday, they will play the following Sunday afternoon. They will be playing at 2:00 pm.
On Thursday afternoon, a group meets for Stitching from 1 – 4 pm at the Club House. Those involved have multiple projects going on, such as quilting, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, and sewing. Anyone wishing to join the group is welcome.
Hand and Foot
Hand and foot will be the first and third Tuesdays at 1:30. This month the games will be held on 3rd, 17th, and 31st. Hand and Foot is a card game played with multiple decks of cards. It’s played for points and lots of fun with more fun people. POC Ginny Stewart.
