March Madness
Don Z will be running a March Madness NCAA Basketball pool in March after pairings are announced
Criteria:
1) 32 openings only
2) $5 for 2 picks in your choice of regions (4)
3) Drawings are random (don’t have to know anything about teams)
4) Draw first for order of draw
5) Draw random for 2 teams
6) If all 32 picks are not met, can draw again for $5 until all 32 openings are gone
7) There are 5 winners–final 4 and champion
8) $160 take-in: payout $32 each
9) Can draw for neighbor

Pi Day – March 14th
Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14 in the month/day date format) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. There is a sign up sheet at the clubhouse. Point persons are Phil Saxe and Thelma Sroka.
Wearing of the Green!
There will be a St. Patrick’s Day dinner at the Club House on March 17th. We will begin at 5. There will be corned beef and cabbage for the traditional dinner. There is a sign up sheet at the Club House and depending on how many sign up, people will be asked to cook the corned beef. Wear your green. Listen to the Irish music and dance a jig. Entertainment
Mark your calendars for 6-7 pm Wednesday March 23! Paul deWolfe will be performing songs from the 50’s-90’s at the clubhouse!
Paul deWolfe is a versatile singer whose musical roots began with the sounds of the 1950s. Paul has been performing professionally for over 30 years in bands and as a solo vocalist. He has been active in community theater in comedies, musicals and dramas, all of which have contributed to his comfortable stage presence and his ability to engage the audience in his performances. Paul is proficient in many musical styles including Rock, Country, Blues, Standard and Oldies. His performances and song choices are custom-tailored to the event or audience, and with over 250 backing tracks at his disposal ranging from the 1940″s to the1990’s, Paul’s singing is appreciated by audiences of all ages.
Scrabble
There is a group who have been playing Scrabble every Thursday afternoon from 1 – 4 pm in the Poker Room of the Club House. If you are interested in playing, come and join them.
Bowling
The bowling alley time is 1:00 pm on Tuesdays at Dover Bowl-arama. Come join in the fun and camaraderie with neighbors and friends.
Stitching
On Thursday afternoon, a group meets for Stitching from 1 – 4 pm at the Club House. Those involved have multiple projects going on, such as quilting, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, and sewing. Anyone wishing to join the group is welcome.

Hand and Foot
Hand and foot will be the first and third Tuesdays at 1:30. This month the games will be held on March 1st and 15th. Hand and Foot is a card game played with multiple decks of cards. It’s played for points and lots of fun with more fun people. POC Ginny Stewart.
Men’s or Ladies’ luncheons.
The luncheons will be on March 21st at noon. The Men will be going to Jimmy’s Grille in Bridgeville and the Ladies will be going to Frazier’s in Dover. These sites were postponed from last month. POC Men – Paul Zimmerman, POC Ladies – Flo Zimmerman.

At the Club House
There will be a Super Bowl Party and Men’s Chili Cook off on February 7 at 5:00 pm. The sign-up sheet is posted at the clubhouse. Please sign up and note if you will be making chili. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages. The Pool on the Super Bowl is sold out. Look for the winners. POC Paul Zimmerman

Recent Reads
This month we will be meeting on February 3rd at 7:00 pm. During these cold winter’s nights, you will be reading snug and warm in your home. On the 3rd come and share the exciting books you have read. POC Ellen Ainge
Exercise in the Clubhouse
Exercise will continue, as we have been with low impact M, W, F, at 8:30. Yoga for seniors is on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8:30. Beginner yoga is at 9:30 on Mon.
Toning and Zumba are $5 pp. per class.
If anyone would like an exercise class at a later time, they can get a group together to play the DVDs as the 8:30 group does. The Yoga DVDs and Leslie Sansone Walking DVDs are stored in the drawer under the clubhouse TV.
