Decorate the Clubhouse
Decorate the Clubhouse for the Holidays. Christine will have the outdoor lights and Christmas tree put up for us. This year the stars on the tree will have items for seniors who have needs and who attend Frederica Senior Center.
The SMe Christmas Party
The Christmas Party will be at Magnolia Firehouse with music by DJ Carmen. 6:30 pm – 10:30. Appetizers will be provided. Cost is $20 per person and Christine is collecting the money. The money is due by December 1st.
Cake & Tea Party was on November 14th
Thanks to Sharon Cowart, Barbara Borrell and Darlene Bean, everyone had a great afternoon. There was plenty of food and drink – the best teas, cakes and sandwiches.
Thanksgiving Dinner
The Thanksgiving dinner was exceptional and a very good time to be had by all. Southern Meadow has the best cooks anywhere!!! Thanks Flo, for putting it all together.
Mah-jongg
Mahjong Players will meet Tuesday, December 8th, and 22nd at 1 pm in the clubhouse. Beginners are welcome.
Dominoes
Dominoes will meet on Thursday evenings on December 3rd and 17th at the Club House at 7 pm.
Guys & Dolls Bean Bag
Will be held on Friday, December 11th at 2:00 PM. This is the only date in December due to the holiday.
New Years Eve Party
31 December – 8:00 PM – New Year’s Eve Rockin’ the Meadow Party. Bring snacks. Christine will get Jersey Mikes subs cut into 2-3 inch servings. Darlene and Brian Bean will be doing Karaoke to provide music and entertainment.
Cruise with neighbors March 20 – April 9
Jonalyn has put up an information sheet on the cruise with current prices on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. She will email this info sheet to anyone who is interested.
This is not intended to be an “escorted, all plans pre-made by a tour company” type of cruise. Everyone will be expected to make their own booking and arrange for transportation to the port of Baltimore. Any excursions will also need to be personally booked.
She will be happy to guide anyone through the process, if you need some help. She can also answer lots of questions about this itinerary and the ship since it will be her 3rd time on the ship and the umpteenth time on the itinerary!
The cruise dates are March 30-April 9 of next year. The itinerary is Labadee, Haiti (Royal Caribbean’s private beach), San Juan, PR; St. Thomas, US VI, and St. Maarten. The weather should be very nice by the end of March.
