Happy August

Quick look at what’s going on in August

At the Club House

There will be a Grotto’s fundraiser for ALZ in August.  Linda has information and coupons on the board at the clubhouse.  This will be in conjunction with Southern Meadow Dine Out.

Upcoming Johnny’s Angels Fundraising events. Spread the word to your family and friends. They might want to buy raffle tickets or come to one, or all, of the fundraisers. Every dollar raised, helps to find a cure for this cruel and horrible disease and brings us closer to the first survivor of Alzheimer’s! Thank you for your continued support! Linda Synden.

Grotto’s Fundraiser. Come join us at Grotto’s in Dover Monday August 13th from 4 pm till 9 pm, including take out. 20% of all checks will be donated to Johnny’s Angels. Vouchers are available at the clubhouse along with a sign up sheet. I will also have vouchers with me. Enjoy a dinner out with your neighbors, friends and family!

In the Area:

The Peach Festival of Wyoming will be held on August 4, 2018 on Railroad Avenue. There will be entertainment, crafters, vendors, community displays, political displays, peach dessert contest, children’s area, parade. food and much more. Hours: 9 am – 3 pm.

45th Annual Outdoor Fine Art and Fine Craft Show. Saturday, August 4 – August 12 Rehoboth Art League, Rehoboth Beach.
Over 125 artists and artisans from around the country will display and sell their fine art and fine crafts amidst the Rehoboth Art League’s 3.5 acre historic wooded campus in Henlopen Acres.

The annual Outdoor Show is a juried event yielding exceptional work, and many of the artists actively enjoy demonstrating their creativity during each day of the show. Historically, work was hung on snow fences surrounding the property, and some artists maintain this homage to history, while others display their work in booths throughout RAL’s grounds.

The Outdoor Show is not just a fine art and fine crafts show, but is a fun summer event full of activities, including great food, music, historic tours, face-painting, artist demonstrations, gallery exhibits, beautiful gardens, the historic Homestead, and a Dogfish Head Beer Garden.
